I wanted to come up with a Thanksgiving craft for my kids that was also a beautiful way to display gratitude in our home during the month of November. When I think of Thanksgiving decor, I instantly think feathers and when I saw some pretty ones at the craft store, I decided to incorporate them into a gratitude board that the kids can get involved in . Each day, they can write down something they are thankful for and then clip it into the board and at the end of the month it will be full of beautiful feathers and words of gratitude!
Here’s what you will need to make your own:
- Feathers
- Letters
- Mini Clothespins
- Foam Board
- Paper
Cut the paper in strips and tie it onto the feathers with twine. You can write your thanks you are thankful for on each piece of paper.
I found these cork letters on clearance at Michaels and hot glued them onto the top of my foam board.
Then I hot glued the mini clothespins on the board in random spots.
I already had a frame and mat that fit the poster board perfectly, but you could also do this on a large canvas.
Clip on a feather or two each day and enjoy reading through all of the things at the end of the month!
