String art is all the rage but it definitely can be time consuming with all of the cutting wood and nailing involved. It’s also not the most kid friendly craft since it involves tools suitable for adults. If you want to make a string art craft that is kid-friendly, try making a string art canvas without nails!
How do you make a string art canvas? First, you will need to apply vinyl letters on your canvas. Then, brush Mod Podge over the entire are. Next, sprinkle on your cut string. Finally, cut around the vinyl letters with a craft knife. This is an easy string art canvas craft that anyone can do!
How To Make String Art Canvas
I love how many string art ideas can be found on Pinterest these days. I decided to try my own spin on it and used a little Mod Podge and thread to make a super easy DIY string quote canvas! You can customize it to say anything, but probably the more simple the better. I made this one and hung it in my daughter’s room for some cheerful and unique DIY art!
For this project, I whipped out my trusty vinyl letters, which I have used for multiple DIY’s such as my quote banner tutorial, mini letter canvases, and Tie Dye Sprayed Canvas Bags.
