Cheap Patio Makeover

You guys, the patio is finally finished! I hope you love it as much as we do. It finally feels like a place that we can sit back and relax on a warm summer night or a crisp fall afternoon. We do need to re-stain the deck, but for now we will celebrate this success! We added the finishing touches and put it all together this weekend. Everything was done on a pretty tight budget, (we totally transformed the table and chairs, painted the thrift store chair and utility cart and painted the door aqua) but there is one new item that really pull the entire thing together. It’s the rug!! Isn’t it awesome? An outdoor rug makes ALL the difference in a space like this.

As you may have seen on Instagram, I was super excited when the rug finally came last week. Home Decorators was gracious enough to give me an outdoor rug for the patio makeover.

I thought the black and white stripes were classic and would go with pretty much anything. The great thing about these indoor/outdoor rugs is that they can go anywhere. So I could always bring it inside if I wanted to change things up! I think it just makes the entire patio and the black and white is perfect.

PATIO MAKOEVER7I also hung these shallow baskets on the wall from the thrift store.

I’m tired from all this work, so I think I will go relax for a few minutes before I get back to work on the laundry room makeover!

*Home Decorators was generous enough to provide me with the rug but as always, my opinions are 100% my own.
