My gold leaf canvas project from last year was one of my most popular posts of 2014. I decided to make another version of that project to hang along side my brush stroke cross painting.
I decided to make a number five gold leaf canvas. We are a family of five and we were married in 2005, so I figured it works!
It’s pretty much the same process as my first gold leaf canvas painting. Instead of using stickers, I used painters tape to create the five.
I pretty much just made the number out of the tape and trimmed it up to get the shape I wanted, stuck it on the canvas and applied the gold leaf as I described in my first tutorial.
I hung it along with this cardboard deer head that I got at Joann’s for $7. I’m not sure Reid is too thrilled with it (I think he’s just mainly confused by it), but I think it’s cute.
I can’t wait to show the rest of the bedroom soon!
