You could call me a lazy cook. I’m always looking for shortcuts when it comes to food. I love incorporating wholesome ingredients into our snacks, but I also don’t have the time to whip up homemade breads and crackers. That’s not happening in this house with 4 little kids! So, when my girls begged me for fruit pizza, the lazy part of me wanted to find an easy shortcut and the mom part of me wanted to find a way to make them a little more wholesome. I found the perfect combo of delicious and nutritious by using Wasa crispbreads that I found at Walmart!
It’s easy to make fruit pizza crackers with just a handful of ingredients. This is a great after school snack for kids that is yummy and healthy. This fruit pizza cracker recipe is so yummy that everyone will keep coming back for more!
Fruit Pizza Crackers
Initially, it might seem crazy to use a 100% whole grain crispbread for the base of a fruit pizza, but I can testify to the fact that it works! The Wasa crispbreads create such a blank canvas that even a sweet, fruity treat tastes great. I surprised my girls with these adorable mini fruit pizzas after school and they were hooked!
These mini fruit pizza crackers just look so pretty and they are incredible easy to make. It almost seems silly to call this a recipe because it’s that easy. Not only do they make a quick and wholesome after school snack, but they would be an adorable appetizer for a brunch or bridal shower. They are the perfect spring food!
Here’s what you will need: (The full recipe will be at the bottom of this post)
- Wasa crispbreads – Sourdough and Multi Grain both work great
- Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, kiwi
- Cream Cheese
Directions For How To Make Fruit Pizza Crackers
Step One: All you need to do is add some honey into your cream cheese.
This makes it easier to spread and adds just the right amount of sweetness.
Step Two: Spread some of the cream cheese mixture onto each crispbread and add some finely chopped fruit.
Make a bunch, then devour!
These crackers will become soggy if you try to save them for later, so it’s best to eat them when they are fresh!
This recipe would be yummy with graham crackers or even ritz crackers too!
If you’ve never tried Wasa Crispbreads, you really need to check them out. Not only are they fat free and 100% whole grain, but they are the perfect base for anything. My favorite lunch lately is to have a few topped with tuna salad. So yummy and filling! In fact, if you use Ibotta, you can snag a rebate right now for Barilla products!
