If you are a regular blog reader, you have probably noticed that I’ve been on a blogging frenzy lately. I mentioned this earlier, but I have made the goal to blog 5 days a week in September. There are a few different reasons for this, but mainly I have slacked on blogging over the Summer and wanted to give myself a boost into doing it more regularly. I also consider blogging as my part time job and I need to be putting more into it and taking it more seriously in order to earn money from it. Just being honest!
Anyway, coming up with the perfect blog post is a bit exhausting. Creating a perfect, “Pinterest-worthy” image, promoting every post on every social media outlet, making every thing SEO appropriate and so on… But as a blog reader, I think some of the most fun posts to read are the non-Pinterest worthy picture perfect ones.
All of that to say, I thought it would be fun to share a thrift store haul with you all! It’s not a tutorial and might not be Pin-worthy, but who cares? I hit up some thrift stores the other day and was pleased with my finds. I LOVE seeing what other people find at thrift stores. In fact, just enter “thrift store haul” into Youtube and if you are like me, you will be able to watch video after video of stuff people find. I may be weird, but I love that stuff.
I went to Goodwill and Salvation Army with nothing in particular that I needed. But I did find some good stuff!
I found this Banana Republic sweater for $1.99. Yay! Oh, and everything I bought ended up being cheaper at the register than what it was marked. I don’t know how that happened, but I’ll take it!
I also was so excited to find this brand new, H&M denim shirt with the tags still on. It ended up being $1.99 (and the original store tags said $24.99. I had been wanting a denim shirt, so this was a huge score.
These Janie and Jack shoes are in pretty perfect condition and will fit Pearl in a few months. They have a few scuffs, but can be washed since they are canvas and for $0.99, I was happy!
Now for the home finds!
I thought the wicker candle holder was cool for $0.99. It has a grandma vibe to it, but I think I can make it work. I thought it was a nice size and could also be a vase.
The brass hanging pocket will be so cute spray painted white or a fun color. I’m either going to hang it by the door to stash keys or in my bathroom to hold beauty products. It’s such a cute shape.
Finally, I was so excited about the wicker milk crate. I’m pretty sure this is originally from Target because I have almost purchased one exactly like it from Target a few different times, but I could never force myself to pay $25 for a basket. So, when I saw it for $5 in almost perfect condition, I was ecstatic! It’s perfect for storing our quilts and blankets in the living room.
I already stuck the wicker thingy with some other fall decor (sorry, definitely NOT Pin-worthy photos.) But I am thinking of spray painting it. I can’t decide.
And the basket is already living next to our chair holding our quilts!
What do you think? Do you want to see more thrift store hauls like this one??
