I’m back with a few patio mini-makeovers. If you’ve been with me for the past week or so, you know that I am currently making over my sad backyard patio. Over the 4th of July weekend, my husband built a fence for the backyard! I helped, but I really can’t take any credit for it. We saved SOO much money by doing it ourselves and it actually went smoother and faster than we thought it would. I think this is the first time in DIY history that something went faster and not 3 times slower! Yay! I will share photos later, but it’s just a regular picket fence. Nothing fancy! ANYWAY…. during the fence building, I did a few more little projects to continue sprucing up the patio. Here is the sad photo of what it looked like before we did anything:
And this is what I ended up doing over the weekend:
A pretty aqua-blue door! I’m in love with this color. I chose Crystal Aqua by Valspar and it’s perfect. I will definitely be painting more things this color because I still have 3/4 of the quart left. It only took 2 coats which was also quite impressive.
I’m hoping to do something about that nasty light fixture as well. My other quick project was doing something about this cute $7 chair that I scored at the thrift store:
I was so excited to find it at such a steal. It’s super comfy and I love the shape. So, I painted it a “grellow” color with some outdoor spray paint. I also gave a coat of paint to this plastic little outdoor table/stool that I already had (I believe it was a $1 garage sale find)
Pretty cute! I am hoping to add a few outdoor pillows next!
And don’t miss out on the full patio reveal!
