School starts in 2 days here in Kansas City. Can you believe it?? I am still not used to this rhythm of summer being cut short because of school. However, the start of school means fun back to school supplies and projects! My first grader, Lula’s hair is always getting in her face and since I can’t control her hair style while she is at school, I have found sending her with some cute hair accessories is a must. I love those tied headbands but she won’t keep them on. So, I created some that look the same but it’s in the form of a traditional headband. It’s so easy, you will want to make a bunch! (These are cute for adults too!)
It’s easy to make some DIY faux tied headbands in just a few easy steps. First, you will need to thread a plastic headband through a sewn tube and stitch together the ends. Then, you will sew together another small rectangle and tie it around the headband to create a bow or a tie. This is a quick and easy DIY headband project for kids!
DIY Faux Tied Headbands
Headbands have been increasing in popularity over the past few years with both kids and adults. I originally made these headbands for kids, but these would be just as cute for an adult as well. This would also be a great project to make for a DIY gift.
These DIY faux tied headbands are so fun because you can customize the fabric and colors to match any outfit. Make a bunch so that your girl has a different one to wear every day of the week. I love that these look like those tied headbands but without the hassle!
