Every year, I’m always on the search for new Christmas decoration ideas. This time, I thought I would go with bright, cheery and modern. I thought I would show you the rest of my holiday mantel after introducing you to the ombre holiday wreath yesterday. I’m actually not a big seasonal decorator, but I usually just come up with something out of stuff I already have around the house. So, this mantle is not amazing or perfect, but it also was virtually free. Works for me!
I did make the pom pom garland for something playful to hang across the brick. I like how it turned out. Probably not the most sophisticated look, but nothing about my home is sophisticated. I will do a little tutorial on the garland tomorrow. It’s so easy!
I hung another felt garland from a few years ago as well as my felt stockings. I need to add one more for Pearl!
I did buy some of the red berries for a total of $4 at Michaels. I may cut some branches off of our boxwood and add them to the mix as well.
I added in some ornaments and fabric trees from a previous project and I was done! I love coming up with something a little different for Christmas decorations each year. Last year’s mantel was much more subdued and natural, but I like this year’s bright and cheery feel!
