Remember when I posted this mood board for our basement? I thought it was time to share some progress pictures of where we started and where we are now. Warning: If you are super organized and get stressed out by messy house pictures, you may want to skip this next part. I didn’t clean up anything and these are a far cry from Pinterest perfect. When I do a house project, things get VERY messy in the progress, that’s just how I roll.
So, here is a lovely BEFORE picture of our basement. This photo was snapped when we were looking to buy our house.
And here it was right before we began painting (get ready for a mess!)
Yes, an old school big screen TV and lots of random furniture and stuff congregated down there.
You can see the paint swatches on the wall.
Stairs leading up and downstairs…
Ok, and this is where we are NOW. The mess has grown, but things are already looking better!
Everything has a coat of primer and a few coats of white paint. As you
can see, there is a TON of trim, shelves, beams and brick to paint. This
is why I’ve been a little absent from the blog lately. It’s been time
consuming, but I’m so excited about the end product!
I’m hoping the last few coats of trim paint will be finished and we can paint the walls and start clearing stuff out! Then the fun part – decorating- can begin.
