I love painting things – anything! Whether it’s spray painting an old light fixture or painting toys, I love it all. I made some painted animal canvases for Pearl’s room and it was SO fun. It’s one of my favorite projects ever. Well, I decided to break out the plastic toys again and paint them for a new project – animal confetti globes.
Who said snow globes had to be just for winter? There are so many DIY snow globe projects out there but I decided to make a spring version. Replace the Christmas trees for painted animals and the snow for confetti and you have a spring snow globe!
Here’s what you will need:
Begin by giving your plastic animals a few coats of paint.
You also will want to pant the lids of the baby food jars as well.
Glue the animal to the underside of the lid once everything is dry.
Cut up some cardstock into confetti or just use store bought! And add it to the jar. I put it on the lid first, but realized that if you add it to the inside of the glass jar it works better.
Glue the lid on if you want it to be permanent.
Shake it up and enjoy!
Wouldn’t these be the cutest birthday party favors!? Make some of these confetti globes in all colors and sizes.
