Everyone loves a good smoothie, right? I love smoothies, but only if they are pretty sweet. Lately I’ve been experimenting with making a smoothie that is sweet but without any added sugar. I came up with a peanut butter pie smoothie recipe and there is no sugar or artificial sweeteners whatsoever and it’s super sweet, creamy and tasty! It tastes like a piece chocolate peanut butter pie but with only good for you ingredients, seriously!
I discovered the Jif Peanut Butter Powder at Walmart and it’s amazing stuff! Perfect for smoothies. It has less fat than peanut butter but is still totally natural. It has one ingredient: roasted peanuts!
I also used some Dannon Oikos Triple Zero Greek Nonfat Yogurt which is SO thick and creamy and perfect for making smoothies taste sinful but without any added sugar. It also just has a handful of ingredients, which I love!
For the rest of the smoothie ingredients, here is what you will need:
Peanut Butter Pie Smoothie
(Makes 2 servings)
1 Cup Dannon Oikos Triple Zero Greek Nonfat Yogurt
3 TBS Jif Peanut Powder
4 TBS Cocoa Powder
1-2 Frozen Bananas
2 Cups Almond Milk
Handful of Spinach
Blend everything up until completely smooth. For a thicker smoothie, add another frozen banana or more yogurt. Enjoy!
The trick to making this smoothie taste like pie is the dates! They add so much natural sweetness.
And no one will ever suspect that there is spinach hiding in there.
Enjoy one for breakfast or even dessert!
