This coconut oil hair mask recipe is barely a recipe, but it does wonders so I thought I would share! I have medium to long thick hair that tends to be on the dry side. About 6 months ago, I got a terrible haircut and started frantically researching ways to make it grow faster. I found that there are a few different essential oils that can help with hair growth. I don’t know if they are making a huge difference, but I combined them all in this overnight hair mask that smells amazing. I use it about once a week and the next day after I wash it out, my hair feels absolutely incredible!
All you need is coconut oil (the cheapest place I can find organic coconut oil is Aldi!), and any or all of these essential oils: peppermint, rosemary and lavender.
Massage it into your scalp and also put some on the ends of your hair. Put it up in a high bun and leave it overnight or for a few hours. When you wash it out, you may want to shampoo 2-3 times just to make sure all of the coconut oil mask residue is out of your hair. Enjoy your incredibly soft locks!
