Lula turned 7 last month and she requested a tea party for her birthday. It was a small group of girls and I tried to keep things simple by not going overboard on decor and food. We did set up a little photo booth and it was such a fun little activity! I decided to create a photo booth backdrop that wasn’t specific to the tea party so that I can use it again for future events and parties.
We kept the food super simple with just a few little things
I also am kicking myself for not taking any photos of our craft! I bought different plain white tea cups at the thrift store and the girls decorated them with paint Sharpies and then I sent home instructions for the parent to bake the tea cup. They loved it!
We will not be doing a big themed party like this one every year for our girls. In fact this was Lula’s first “friend” party. We usually just have a low key family day or just invite grandparents over. But I think once they are in school, every other year I will let them have a party with a few friends. I do love the decor and planning aspect, so I’m sure between my 3 girls I will be coming up with ideas for one party every year. 🙂
