Thanksgiving is around the corner which means it’s time to be thankful…obviously! I love receiving a hand written thank you note from someone. I’m not always the best at randomly sending hand written notes to people, but I would like to be better. I came up with some beautiful chalk feather thank you notes (or just anytime notecards) that you can send to someone to brighten their day during this Thankful season!
This method can be used with any shape, I just chose a feather beacause it seemed Thanksgiving-y to me. You will need chalk pastels, cardstock and some tissues. That’s it!
Cut out your shape and color with chalk around the edges.
Move your feather to your clean piece of cardstock and hold it down with one finger. With the other hand, rub the chalk outward onto the paper.
When you remove the feather, you will have a beautiful chalk feather outline. You can repeat over and over again, using different colors.
It also looks great on dark paper. I folded mine into cards and added some text.
This is also the perfect project for kids. It always turns out beautifully!
