8 Slow Cooker Freezer Meals In an Hour

Over labor day weekend, I decided to try my hand at making a big batch of slow cooker meals that I could keep in the freezer. I made my list and chose 6 different recipes. I ended up making 8 meals (which is really more like 12 meals with leftovers) in about an hour!

For a family of 6, this would probably be 8 meals. For our family of 5, but 3 of those people don’t eat much, it’s been a lot more than 8 meals with all of our leftovers. We’ve been able to get a few lunches out of each meal!

I bought everything at Aldi and Costco and spent about $60 Here are the recipes I chose:

Crockpot Island Pork (times 2!)
Honey Garlic Chicken (times 2!)
Spicy Sausage and Peppers
Sausage and Lentil Soup
Cilantro Lime Chicken (this made TONS of leftovers…like enough for 2 more meals)
Crockpot Pulled Pork

I think this will last us the entire month. It’s saved us so much money and made everything so much easier! Now all I have to grab at the grocery store is produce and a few things for lunches every week. I’m excited to try another batch of freezer cooking next month!

Here is the breakdown of what I bought and the cost (Disclaimer: I did already have some ingredients on hand, so if you need to buy every ingredient, you will probably spend more):
