I know I’ve promised a tutorial on the floating shelves that we built for our office area, but I don’t have that yet. Hopefully on Thursday I will have a full tutorial for you guys. But, I will give you a preview of how they turned out!
We’ve been working on updating this area for awhile. We built the desk, made over some thrift store lamps, added some pretty touches, and even gave the keyboard and mousepad a makeover. After seeing some DIY floating shelf tutorials online, we decided to try it. We added crown moulding to ours and I think they turned out great.
I just threw some stuff up there that I already had on hand. I’m not sure what I will do with them long term, but it works for now.
I stuck some washi tape in this old mason jar and it’s next to the DIY polka dot frame that I did last month.
I found this little flower at the thrift store and painted it white. It’s sitting on top our girls’ journals which just happened to be the perfect colors!
