Homemade Wood Floor Cleaner

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a homemade cleaner recipe. I’ve been using this little number on my wood floors and I’m really loving it. It’s so easy, cheap and quick to put together!

Make this simple homemade wood floor cleaner with just a few simple ingredients. It's all natural and safe for kids and pets!

Homemade Wood Floor Cleaner

2 TBS White Vinegar

2 Cups Water

10 Drops Essential oil (optional)

A Splash of Rubbing Alcohol (optional) I use an old Method wood floor cleaner bottle because I love how it easily squirts the cleaner on the floor. Just add a few TBS of vinegar and 10 or so drops of essential oil. I have been using sweet orange oil. Smells so good! You can definitely leave the oil out, I just like it because it smells fresh. If you add a bit of rubbing alcohol, it will help the cleaner dry faster. Fill with water, shake and you are done! I squirt a little on the floor and mop up with a damp wood floor mop.

I love this dust mop by Cedar because I can take the duster off and wash it then reuse. It has microfiber in it to get all of that nasty dust and grime off the floor.

I use the O Cedar on my wood floors as well. If you add some rubbing alcohol to the mix, it makes the water evaporate more quickly and your floors will shine like crazy! It is a bit smelly though!

Is this only for sealed wood floors with polyurethine wax?

I am constantly wiping up food and crumbs off my wood floors {my 2 little ones keep me on my toes}, so this sounds great! I'm "pinning" it to try later!

Check out Casabelle brand mops (found mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond). They have a removable/washable microfiber mop cover plus a refillable bottle that sprays out your own solution on the floor (very similar to Swiffer Wet Jet mops).
I wasn't using an essential oil and the vinegar made the floors smell like dirty gym socks but I wanted a natural cleaner with little ones so we suffered through the smell until it faded in a hour or so. My 8 yr old will be excited with the rubbing alcohol suggestion since his job is to follow me with a towel to dry the floors when they are really dirty and need a good old mop and bucket job. Hopefully the oil will cover the alcohol smell too. Thanks!

Wood floor floor Hardwood flooring contractors surfaces is an expensive purchase in your home and also you wish to understand what the most effective ground is dependant on your financial allowance. Fully grasp the various varieties of forest and also the alternative inside rates. You can decide on a less expensive hard wood but still use a wonderful bottom.

This time I wanted something indoors to hold the wood for our stove. Previously we had been piling it on the floor, but the wood floor was becoming scratched and it was just plain in the way.Sandpaper and abrasives for wood
