Recently I decided to spruce up the girls’ art easel. It was a bit of an eyesore…I wanted it to blend better with our decor while still serving it’s purpose. Check out the before and after…
I wasn’t down with the primary colors and marker lines everywhere, so I decided to do something about it
I cleaned up all the dirt and dust and then taped off the chalkboard and white board on the other side.
I gave it a few coats of white spray paint and then I took off the red cloth baskets that were hanging underneath and took them apart.
I used that as a pattern to make new baskets with some yellow and gray home decor fabric I had on hand.
And now we have a much more pleasant looking easel to put in the play area! I’m working to revamp the whole play nook/art space as well as our office. It’s a shared space and really needs some TLC, so stay tuned!
Happy Thursday and stay warm if you got snow last night like we did!
It looks so good! I'm so impressed with such an easy change. 🙂
This does look good. I too am not fond of all the primary or pink colors out there on kids' furniture. Love how a coat of paint and some material can really change the look 🙂
I love this simple facelift and what big change it makes. Super cute, that yellow and gray fabric is adorable
