Indoor Acitivities Day 1: No Mess Painting
Even though it's technically the 3rd day of the month, we are on day 1 of my newest challenge for January - indoor activities (for kids).
I'm using a project that I did when I was an elementary art teacher. I had a class of special needs kids and this was a fun way to paint without any mess to clean up. It's a fun way to use unusual objects to paint and see what textures they create.
Here's what you'll need:
An old box
a few objects that will "roll"
tape
paint (acrylic or finger paint works)
Tape your paper down
squirt a few blobs of paint on...
Throw your objects in the box and shake away!
They will roll around in the paint and create different shapes and splatters
After a bit, you can add another color
And just keep shaking away until you are done!
Leave it in the box to dry and your only cleanup is washing off the toys. No messy hands or clothes whatsoever!
